About my style:
As the mom of 3 young boys, I now truly understand what people were saying when they warned, "it goes by fast." Life with littles (or bigs, I'm guessing) is a complete blur. Just when you think you have it all figured out, they seem to change overnight.
As a family photographer, my goal is to capture these fleeting moments for your family, whether you have a newborn, toddlers, or teens, through (mostly) play-based photography. Yes, we will make sure we get you that everyone looking, everyone smiling, Christmas-card-worthy shot, but 80% of the photos we take will not be staring at the camera with fake smiles and glassy eyes. We will find the perfect way for your family to play, smile, and connect with each other so that your photos will reflect the authentic faces of everyone at this moment.
The personal tidbits:
I grew up in Michigan, waterskiing on Lake Huron in the summer and hunkering down in the cold winter. I met my handsome, smart hubs, Adam, at Michigan State (go green!). We moved to San Diego after graduation where I worked as a dolphin trainer for the US Navy (it’s real, promise) for 4 years until we saved enough money to skip town to travel abroad for a year. Our trip was where I found my love for photography. I toted a “nice” camera with us to 19 countries in a little over a year. We had a blast, spent all our money, and got married in Costa Rica at the end of it all!
After traveling we spent a short stint in Seattle, and then got pregnant with our son, moved to Colorado, bought a house and planted down! We enjoy hiking and skiing (though I am not very good), and need to get back into camping this summer! We love it here and are so excited to raise a Colorado family.
